Ignite Dance Competition Internship

Ignite is looking for a qualified marketing and communications intern who is creative, organized and self-motivated with the desire to learn, assist, and become part of a team. All applicants must have prior dance experience. Our intern will work closely with and report to the Marketing & Communications Manager. 

Key projects will include but are not limited to:

• Collaboration on design projects including branded collateral materials, video, direct mail pieces, website and social media graphics, posters, flyers, special event photos, and other marketing materials as needed.
• Assist with email campaigns and growing our mailing list
• Assist with editing, proof reading and communication of projects both new and ongoing 
• Designing and scheduling social media content across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• Monitoring social media platforms
• Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager on the Brand Ambassador Program
• Assist with other projects as needed

Candidate should be highly self-motivated and prepared to work alone and in a team environment. The ideal candidate should be interested in obtaining a position in marketing upon graduation and will complete the internship having gained broad experience not only in marketing and communications but also business.

The right candidate must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours a week on given tasks and assignments including: assisting with projects, proposals, attending weekly zoom calls, managing a project workload, and effectively meeting deadlines. The candidate must be able to take initiative to complete projects in their own time and report in at project completion. The candidate does not have to be located in Charleston, SC but must make themselves available to complete the given scope of work. Class credit is available upon request. Internship start dates begin September 2025 and end December 2025 with the possibility of extension into the spring semester based on evaluation and discretion of the Marketing & Communications Manager.
